Our First Walk

Hey, happy Friday to you!  Hopefully you are having a fantastic Friday so far!

Guess who went on her first walk today?

Well, Jillian didn’t do much walking, but she got to ride in th stroller while mommy and Grandma got some walking done.  It was our first time out with her, aside from taking her to the doctor, so it was really really exciting.  And judging by how well she did on her walk (she slept the whole time), we will be making this a daily thing!

She's all bundled up like we live in the arctic because it was a high of 65 today.  Hehe.
I can't imagine if we actually did live in a cold climate.

So fun!  I’m so ready to get her out and about!

Speaking of getting out and about, yesterday evening when Hubs was done with work I totally did not feel like going on my evening walk.  I’ve gone every evening this week and I was just thinking “eh, I’ll take a rest day” because I was so exhausted (Miss Jillian decided not to sleep much that day).  But then I thought better of that and laced up my sneaks and got out the door.  Man oh man I’m glad I did.  It’s amazing what a 15 minute walk and some jammin’ tunes will do for you.  Really!  So glad I did that.

Today has also been very productive.  Since Jilly decided not to sleep yesterday (she did sleep at night, which makes her the perfect baby) she was super tired today, so she’s been sleeping all day, letting mommy get things done.  I put together her bouncy seat, I did some stuff with the decor in her room, I visited with my mom-in-law and got some picture stuff done (no not the scrapbooking yet).  Lots of stuff!  Once Hubs is done with work I’m contemplating going on another walk solo, even though I already did my mile for the day.  We’ll see.

This weekend we have fun stuff on tap.  More visitors on Saturday, and then my parents will be back on Saturday night to relieve Hubs and I again to have a night out on the town.  Maybe we’ll get some Disney in this weekend?  Maybe not.  We’ll see how we feel.  And then on Sunday, the big game!  I actually don’t really care too much about Super Bowl because we don’t watch football in this house.  But we do tune in for the commercials and we definitely partake in the Super Bowl eating (dips!!).

And now, without further ado, by popular demand, some more Jillian pics...

Milk coma face.

Questions for you …
- Do you have fun Super Bowl plans?
- What’s your favorite Super Bowl dish?

  1. Glad you got the walk in yesterday. I had the usual 5 mile run and then 11 miles on the bike while reading law stuff. Today we ran/walked the inaugural Moorpark Groundhog day 5k. All 4 of us did it, hence the run/walk. Lizzy ended up walking with her friend because she has a horrible head cold. Mike and I cheered Daniel through the 3 miles. He's not a distance (used loosely here) runner yer, but he will get there. After all the kid is 9yrs old. However as soon as he saw the finish line he took off and smoked both of us. He is signed up for track and I think he may be a sprinter!

No real Superbowl antics for us. I have mucho studying to do, Lizzy is under the weather and Daniel is fighting the same garbage. But I will take time to watch the game. Have to root for the home team, 49'ers. And it should be fun to watch the 2 Harbaugh coaches go against one another.

Need to find the time tomorrow to get in some reading on the elliptical and bike before the game.
The last year in law school is much more brutal than the others. BUT, I will be done by December! Yea me!

And YEA for more Jillian pictures!
