Friday Randomness - Anniversary Edition

Hello, happy Friday!  This week has been a little crazy - I worked some and I played some, and it was all fun.  I started typing this post at 7:30 and here it is after 3:00 and I am just now getting back to it.  Argh.

Here's some randomness for your Friday ...

- The running is still happening here.  I got three runs in this week, so I am super happy about that.  My first 5K of the season is August 15th, so I have set a goal for myself to do 5/2 intervals (5 minutes running, 2 minutes walking) for that 5K.  So this week I have been doing that.  So far so good.  5 minutes is still a little challenging for me by the third interval, but I'm working on it.

- Today is my 15 year anniversary at the company I work for. Yikes. I don't feel old enough to have worked one place for 15 years, but I guess I am! Joking aside, I am super proud of this accomplishment and am so extremely lucky to have a job that I loooove. Rarely is there a day where I dread going to work or don't like what I'm doing during the day, so I am truly blessed for that.

- Speaking of, I'm traveling to the work motherland next week (Connecticut) for a super fun project I'm working on. I'm shooting a training video starring ME! Haha yes! I will be playing the role of the narrator in a series of training videos - haha! It makes me laugh whenever I think about it. It's super fancy, I am shooting in front of a nifty green screen and everything. I'll be sure to share details.

- We had super fun with my aunt in town this week. We did a bit of everything...

The Splashpad

Some Disney

Hey Three Caballeros!

The Mall Playground

It was all about Jillian this week, so we all had a blast!

- This weekend should be a fun one - lunch out at Disney on Saturday, hanging out with friends (and kids) on Saturday and Sunday is open as of now.  Can't wait to start the weekend!

How about you ... What are your weekend plans?  Do you like/love your job?

Stitch Fix Review - July

I got my July Stitch Fix on Thursday and I jumped for joy when it showed up.  I haven't gotten one since the beginning of June, so I was super excited for this one.  After my last Fix, which wasn't super great, I gave my stylist some specific instructions on what I wanted - dresses and sleeveless shirts only - so I was hoping that my box would contain just that.  And my stylist Bethany totally got my message and sent some great stuff!

Umi Keyhole Detail Blouse from Papermoon

I love me a sleeveless top and this one was super cute.  I loved the colors, I loved the fit, I loved the little cutout on the neckline.

Love it!  Keep!

Bertona Split Neck Blouse from Collective Concepts

I loved the colors and the style of this top as well.  I'm such a sucker for sleeveless, semi flowy, colorful tops, what can I say?  After trying it on I automatically put it into the "keep" pile ... until I looked at the price.  58 buckaroos.  Yeah, it's cute, but not that cute.  I knew I was definitely keeping the first top, so I could not justify keeping this one  - over $100 for two tops?  No.  Return.

Leilani Dress from Brixon Ivy

This dress was cute, but too big.  It had a drawstring in the front, which I cinched up good, but it still looked too big.  Boo.  Return.

Jennica Dress from Papermoon

This dress was just okay looking.  It was a grey color that I wasn't too excited about, but it fit really nicely in the body.  However, the arm holes were just too big - you could see my bra.  Bah.  Return.

Caspar Maxi Dress from Collective Concepts

This dress was very pretty.  I loved the colors and the material, it was thin, light, super flowy, really nice.  What I didn't like was the criss cross front.  It made the side pucker in a weird way so that it didn't lay the same as it did on the other side.

I played with it a bunch, but the pucker would not go away.  Plus, do I really want that blousy thing going on up top?  Probably not.  Return.

All in all this fix was really good.  I'm sad that the dresses didn't fit, but at least we're in the right style neighborhood now.  Yay Stitch Fix!

Disney Weekend and Be Our Guest

Happy Monday!

I have a weird week coming.  My aunt is coming in from Chicago this evening, so I am taking tomorrow off of work and then I'm taking a half day on Thursday, to hang out and have some fun, so it's going to be a weird mix of work and fun this week.  Can't wait!

I don't want to lose momentum with the running this week, so I am making it a point to get up and out on some runs this week.  I tried to get up yesterday and today, but that just was not happening.  Somehow the planets aligned and Jillian slept until almost 9 both days this weekend.  When that happens, you take advantage and just sleep.  It was glorious.

There was a bunch of Disney that happened this weekend as well.  Usually we stay far away from the parks during the summer since it's super crowded and so hot you feel like you're going to spontaneously combust, but we sucked it up and braved it for a good cause.  On Saturday night we had reservations at Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom!!

Be Our Guest is a Beauty and the Beast inspired restaurant that is impossible to get into.  During the day it's a quick service restaurant that you have to wait in line to even get into the door.  And at night it's a reservation-only fine dining restaurant - a reservation that you have to make months in advance (we made ours 3+ months ago).  So it was finally our turn on Saturday and we were super excited!

The claim to fame of Be Our Guest is the 3 spectacular dining rooms straight from the movie - the Ballroom, the West Wing Study and the Castle Gallery, which is where we were seated.  All were decorated beautifully, the Ballroom was by far the most amazing, with the chandeliers and the picture window that made it look like it was snowing outside.  So cool.

The Beast made his way around to each of the dining rooms a couple times during the meal, which Jillian wasn't a fan of.  I guess she's not really into the Beast just yet.  She loves Belle, but the Beast was a little too, um, big and scary for her liking.

The menu was good - steaks, pork, lamb, fancy food for a theme park - but the dessert cart that they rolled up to your table was my favorite part.

Inside you could choose from french pastries, cupcakes, eclairs, and of course "The Gray Stuff" (it's delicious, don't believe me, ask the dishes - hehe, our server actually had to say that when showing us the selection).  Jillian and I opted for the strawberry cream cheese cupcake (divine!!) and Hubs got The Gray Stuff which was a chocolate mousse type of thing on top of chocolate something or other (I don't eat chocolate so I wasn't really interpreting it when he told me what it was) - he said it was in fact delicious.

All in all Be Our Guest was good.  But not as spectacular as I thought it would be.  I might have felt differently if we were seated in the main ballroom, but where we were was just okay.  The food was very good.  Hubs and I split the Braised Pork Coq au Vin and we both had French Onion soup to start.  Jillian had tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich which she ate most of (a true sign that it was good).  We'd both like to go back for lunch sometime (it's a totally different menu), so that's on the list of things to do one day when it's not summer.

After Disney we walked around the park and rode the Wedway Peoplemover ... or whatever it is called today, it will always be Wedway to me.  Disney fun fact:  Did you know that "Wed", which is an acronym used in many things in backstage Disney, is Walt Disney's initials - Walter Elias Disney?  I'm a geek.

Sunday we kept the Disney going and made a quick trip out to Animal Kingdom to ride Triceratops Spin.

It was 7865 degrees outside, but we had fun.  We were there for about an hour and a half - just long enough to ride twice, take stroll around the park and eat lunch.  Perfect.

Great weekend!

How about you ... How was your weekend?  Ever been to Be Our Guest?

Friday Randomness - Lots to Talk About

Howdy!  I totally meant to check in more this week, but it just didn’t happen.

Hey, at least I’m here for some Friday randomness, right?

Walmart Beauty Box

I read about the Walmart Beauty Box program in a magazine a little while ago and so I checked it out.  Basically it’s kind of like Birchbox, except waaaay less fancy.  No shame.  Walmart runs a program where you can sign up to receive seasonal beauty boxes in the mail.  For $5 a pop, which covers the shipping and handling, you get a box full of full-sized and sample-sized beauty products to try out and keep.  I got mine yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by what I got.

In the “Summer box” I received a full-sized bottle of Vaseline Radiance Restore Healing Serum (which retails for $7.97 at Walmart), a full sized Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Gladiolus (retailing at $7.97 at Walmart), a sample of Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, a sample of Burt Bee’s Renewal Intensive Firming Serum, a sample of Simple Micellar Cleansing Water and a sample of L’Oreal Total Repair Shampoo and Conditioner (perfect to pack for my upcoming business trip).

I love free stuff!  Well, it’s not really free, it was $5 for the shipping, but not bad huh?  I can’t wait to see what is in the “Autumn box” which will ship out the second week of September.  To sign up, just go to

And no, Walmart doesn’t pay me to say nice things like this (unfortunately).  I just wanted to spread the word about this because who doesn’t love to get packages in the mail with virtually free beauty products?  C’mon!

Ben and Jerry’s
Speaking of things that are awesome… I ran into the store the other day to pick up some milk and told Hubs I’d pick up some ice cream in a flavor that he liked (because I only eat vanilla and I do the shopping, so all we ever have is vanilla).  Anyway, as I was perusing the intricate Ben and Jerry’s flavors, I came across this little flavor from heaven

If you can’t read that it’s Peanut Buttah Cookie Core and the description reads like this, “Peanut butter ice cream (amen) with crunchy peanut butter sugar bits (say what?), peanut butter cookies (OMG) and a peanut butter cookie core (I don’t even know what that means but it sounds delish).”  Basically it’s heaven in an ice cream pint.  Amazing.  Thanks Ben and Jerry for ruining my “no sweets” rule for this week.  (I know, it’s totally my fault for buying it, yeah yeah yeah)

Sharknado: Oh Hell No!
Oh hell yes!  Not afraid to admit that I’ve seen both Sharknado movies and yes, they are so horrifically bad they are amazing.  And I mean, hello, Steve Sanders from 90210 is the star.  What’s not to like?  I caught the tail end of Sharknado 3 the other night (don’t worry, we DVR’ed it) and it was ridonkulous.  Steve Sanders (I mean, Ian Ziering), David Hasselhoff and Tara Reid were flying a space shuttle battling sharks in the space and saving the world.  Yes, really.  And can I also just comment on the “Oh Hell No” as part of the title?  Awesomeness.

Self Tanner
I hate self tanner.  I hate the smell, I hate the fact that I for some reason cannot apply it correctly and always end up with splotches and stripes, but I also understand that self tanner is the only way I am ever going to sport any color besides pasty white (outside of the indulgent and infrequent professional spray tan).  I’ve been on a quest for a good one that doesn’t make me orange and I found one of those one-day tinted gels by L’Oreal and I like it.  The claim to fame is it’s temporary, so you put it on and if you screw it up, it washes right off.  I’m still getting used to it, but I’ve learned one of its downsides quickly – orange palms.  Grr.

Last week I finished an amusing book that I read about in one of my magazines.  The Status of All Things by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke is about a Facebook obsessed woman who has the opportunity to relive her life through her Facebook posts.  So basically if she posts “I just won a million bucks” poof, it happened.  (she didn’t in the book, that was just an example)  Anyway, the book was about her going back and reliving a month of her life and controlling it with her posts.  It was fun and a little cheesy and predictable, but those are the kind of books I enjoy.  Now I’m reading a cheesy beach read about two newly single people who are accidentally rented out the same beach house.  Oh no!  I’ll bet they end up falling in love…just a hunch.

80 Totally 80’s Hits
You know I love my Spotify, and one day I was in the 80s mood and I found a really cool album called 80 Totally 80s Hits.  OMG, it’s awesome.  It has all the good ones.  Every time a new song comes on I scream “ohhhhh!” and then I start dancing.  Yeah, not the best when I’m in the office, but whatever.  It’s awesome.  If you are interested in checking me out on Spotify and seeing my ridiculously diverse taste in music (everything from The Avett Brothers to the David Guetta music library) you can search for me at kerrysmusic99

Running and Eating
Oh so I should probably talk about running this week.  I ran!  That’s the most I can say.  I got up, I got out and I did it three days this week.  It wasn’t stellar, but it happened.  And for that, I am proud.  Only 23 more days until my first 5K of the season!  I have also been eating pretty clean all week (minus the above mentioned Ben and Jerry’s – hee), so that has made a difference in how I feel as well.  Man, if I could just get the running and eating well thing going at the same time all the time I’d be a rock star.  But sadly, it’s usually one or the other.  Ah well.

Okie dokie, I think I’ve chatted enough.  Hope your Friday is fab, and you have an even better weekend.  We have an outing planned for the new Be Our Guest restaurant at Magic Kingdom!  EEE, can’t wait!!!

How about you … Ever heard of the Walmart Beauty Box?  Would you sign up for it?  Favorite Ben and Jerry’s flavor?  What are you reading?

Hello, Morning

Given the fact that it’s been over a week since I ran due to logistical issues with Hubs being gone last week (and, ahem, laziness), I knew I had to make this morning count.  I knew I had to set my alarm for early, suck it up, get out of bed and get outside.  And I’m happy to report, I did.  I had an alarm issue (it went off for like 6 minutes straight because I forgot to turn the volume up on my phone, oopsie), but I made it.

Since I haven’t run in a while, and the fact that I wasn’t really “into it” yet when I got outside, I opted for easy today.  I set my Easy Intervals app for 4/3’s because that sounded okay.  4 minutes of running, I could swing that.  Unfortunately I started running on the walking intervals, so I was all out of whack and ended up running 3’s and walking 4’s.  Ah well, I’ll get it right tomorrow.

It was 967 degrees out at 6am, but I’ve mentioned before that I prefer running in the heat (I hate running in colder weather – I know, I’m weird), so it was all good.  Everything felt great this morning and I am super happy I was able to get back into it.  One thing I did notice was my lower back.  Bah.

Since I started running again a couple of months ago, I’ve noticed lower back pain during my run and after.  While I’ve been “off” of running, I noticed that I didn’t have any pain, which means I’m doing something wrong when I run/walk.  I’ve always said I need to work on strengthening my core more to protect my back, and have been doing Pilates to help with that, but obviously not enough to help.  It could also be my problems with my left hip/leg/foot from my accident, which screams to me “hello Kerry, you need to do those exercises that your Physical Therapist gave you!”  So that’s making a comeback in my life as well.  Gotta figure this out.

After the run, I did a round of WWE arms and that’s all I had time for (thanks alarm clock).  But hey, back at it, and I’m happy about that!

How about you … What was your work out this morning?

Friday Randomness - Characters

It's Friday! What what! Another week down. Is anyone else alarmed at how fast this year is flying by? It's almost August people!

Here is some randomness for you for a Friday...

- Another at home workout for me today. I'm kind of loving them. This time I did another round of Heather’s body weight workout and some Pilates.  It was short and sweet.

- I'm back on the sauce ... Diet Coke that is. My relationship with Diet Coke has its ups and downs and right now it's up. It's just so delicious. I hate that it's so delicious. And should I be alarmed that Jillian now can look at my cup and say "Mommy's Diet Coke from McDonald's!" #busted.

I had to make my own since nothing on earth has this spelling of Kerry on it.

- Last weekend we made an impromptu visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios. We read last week that they are going to be completely redoing the entire concept of the park, closing most of the current rides and even renaming the park in the coming years. We also read that it was the last weekend that Baymax and Hiro from Big Hero 6 would be out at the park for photo ops. Since Baymax is Jillian's fave, we decided to go check it out.

Her words when she saw him:  "Aww, he's so cute!"  He was adorable.

Apparently everyone and their brother got the memo about Baymax's last weekend because there was an hour and a half wait. Um, no. Not with my 2 year old. We hung out for a little while so Jillian could see him but after about 10 minutes we busted out and instead hung out with Sofia…

And Dale…

That face!

It was the cutest. Jillian had full on conversations with all of them and even sung the Chip and Dale song to Dale. I'm sure the person  in the costume was like "what's up with this kid?!" But in the best way possible of course.

- This weekend we have plans to go out to Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner. And we might go over to Animal Kingdom of we are feeling frisky. We will see. It's so blazing hot outside that being outdoors really isn't very enjoyable for anyone, so we'll see.

And that's all I've got today!  I hope you are having a fab Friday!

How about you ... Diet Coke fan?  What was your workout today?  Good weekend plans?

Making Do

Hi!  It’s Thursday and I haven’t said hello all week.  Sheesh.  This blog is a mess.  Just kidding, it’s been busy over here.

Jillian and I spent a couple of days in Clearwater hanging with my parents since Hubs was out of town, so we were out having pool and princess fun and whatnot.  It happens.

So this week I haven’t run at all.  (bah!)  While I was at my parents’ house I relished in being able to sleep in, and then when Jilly and I got home I couldn’t go out in the mornings since Hubs was gone.  I didn’t want this week to be a total wash, so I made do with what I could do.  So that means this week I did a bunch of strength training workouts that have proved to be super awesome.  I always forget how good strength training is.  I’m always of the mind that if I can’t do a good cardio workout then it’s not worth it.  NOT SO!  So here’s what’s had me going this week …

WWE Fit Series with Stephanie McMahon

I’m not ashamed to say that I enjoy watching the WWE.  I will totally blame that on Hubs though.  But it’s just so darn entertaining!  And Total Divas, seriously a fave in our house.

Anywho… Hubs got me this DVD for Christmas or my birthday or some holiday and it’s a good one!  The workouts target different groups – upper body, lower body, core, flexibility and cardio – and they are good because they are super short (amen – I will never do 45 minutes of legs, just not happening for this gal).  Now, I will say they are pretty basic.  I mean, it’s two sets of 5 exercises and that’s it.  But, I like the fact that it’s actually got me doing strength exercises and I like the fact that it’s short.  My only gripe is that at the beginning Stephanie is all like “do you want to look like a WWE Diva, then do this work out and you’ll get there.”  Um, no you won’t.  20 lunges are not going to make you look like a Diva.  Have you seen those chicks?  They are fabulously muscular and toned, and not in a scary bodybuilder way.

Heather always shares really great workouts that can be done at home or at the gym onher blog and they always seem to be moves that I want to do.  You know how sometimes you see a workout in a magazine or somewhere that has crazy moves on it that make you think “I could never do that” or “I’m not doing that” (like most Tracy Anderson workouts - seriously I see them every month in Health magazine and I’m like “yeah, nope”)?  Hers aren’t like that at all.  Every time I see a post with a workout I pin it to my Pinterest board and try it.  This one has been good this week.

Contrary to popular opinion, Pinterest is more than just party planning or recipe ideas.  There’s so many pinned workouts out there that meet the needs of any workout mood you’re in.  Want cardio?  It’s out there.  Want legs – out there.  Arms – out there too.  So much stuff.  My Exercise board is filled with workouts I haven’t even tried yet, but I just keep pinning, I’ll get to them eventually.  And this week has been good for those!

Dreaming of running

When I can’t run, I always wish I could.  (yet, when I can run, I opt to sleep in - why is that?!)  Since I haven’t been able to run this week, I am really looking forward to my next run.   Even if that means waking up at dawn to run in 90% humidity.  Ergh.  And I just snagged a new running top from Hungry Runner Girl, even more motivation to get out and go.  (you can order here)

So that’s what’s been going on over here.  The week hasn’t been a total wash, workout-wise.  I’m looking forward to getting back to normal next week and getting back on the C210K bandwagon, since I do have race #1 in my series in a little less than a month.  Whee!

How about you … What is your at-home workout?

Friday Randomness - Short Version

It’s Friday!  This week somehow flew by.  So here’s some randomness for the day…

- I had another okay run yesterday.  As I mentioned earlier this week I tried to get back into running on Week 6 of C210K (aka 10 minute running intervals) and that didn’t go so well.  So I tried again on Thursday.  I think my intervals looked more like this – walk 5/run 8/walk 4/run 4/walk 5/run 2.5/walk 2.5, or something to that effect.  It was all over the place.  But hey, at least I did it, right?  That’s more than I can say for today…

Unfortunately no donuts today.  But I could totally go for one right now...

- Planning to run again tomorrow because I am in the midst of creating an awesome Spotify playlist to get me excited and about of bed tomorrow morning.  I’ll share it with you when it’s done.  Playlist making is really an art.  Yes?

Playlists are kind of my favorite thing about running.

- Is anyone watching that new show Mr. Robot on USA?  I heard from a few people (and the internet) that it was super good so I watched it on demand and got all caught up.  It’s good, but it’s a little slow.  And dark.  After watching it I feel all moody and paranoid.  It’s weird.  But good.

And it has Christian Slater in it, which makes the 12 year old inside me all giddy (Kuffs anyone?)

I have not received an email in my work inbox in over 2 hours.  Does that mean I can go home?

Or maybe that means I should start doing some work … I should get.  Have a super weekend!

How about you … Anyone watching Mr. Robot?

Lots O' Running

How is it already Wednesday?  For the last two days I’ve had stuff to chat about, but actually sitting down to write it out has just not happened.  Bah!

So over the weekend I decided to do something a little crazy.  Not really crazy, but something I had been thinking of doing for a couple of weeks now.  I signed up for a slew of races.  Yes, a slew.  Our local running store, Track Shack, has a deal where you can be a “Track Shack Fanatic.”  Membership includes entries into six of their Series races, coupons to Track Shack and Seasons 52, a nifty shirt, a personalized bib for all races and some other stuff.

My thought was that if I pre-paid for all of these races it would keep me honest on the running front and keep me going.  Nothing like totally bullying myself into running.  The races vary in length, but none are over 10K – because ya know, I retired from those pesky half marathons.  My first race, a 5K, is August 15, and then I have one in September (5K), October (5 Miles), January (5.2K), February (4 miles) and March (10K).  I’m really excited about the prospect of doing more races and having something to work towards, so I think this was a good investment.

Running like the wind ... or a soft, slow breeze at the Princess 10K this year.

And because I just plunked down a good chunk of change to run, I decided to make my triumphant return to running this week.  After two weeks of not running, yesterday was H.A.R.D.  I tried to jump right back into Week 6 of C210K, with the 10 minute intervals, but that just wasn’t happening.  So I did a free for all yesterday, mostly sticking to running 5-6 minutes at a time just to get myself back into it.  Sheesh, am I going to have to go back to Week 5 again?!

 My 10th Disney half marathon

I was going to go out again this morning, but Jillian decided she wanted to wake up and stay up for a few hours at 4am.  Sheesh.  So I was up from 4-6 and then toyed with the notion of just getting dressed and going out to run, but instead decided to try and catch an hour of sleep.  Bad idea because I slept until 7:40 and am now so groggy I can barely function.  Awesome.  So mental note: just stay awake if this happens again.  Or have Hubs wake up and hang out with her.  Hehe.

(yeah buddy)

In other race news, Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend went on sale to passholders last week (it goes on sale to the general public next week, I believe).  I decided to not register this year because I have my sights set on something different, which happens to fall on the same date as the Enchanted 10K I was thinking of signing up for.  In Tampa they have the Gasparilla Distance Classic which offers a 5K, an 8K (?), a 15K and a Half Marathon.  And you know I’m a super sucker for a 15K (9.3 miles), so I think I am going to do that – because 15Ks are so hard to find and they are the perfect distance (15K was the first “long” distance run I ever did, so I have a soft spot in my heart for that distance).  Something different and it’s a fraction (a third!) of the cost of the Disney race, so there’s that.

Only 226 days to train...

So there you have it.  Expect to read a lot about me running around over the next few months because I have a bunch on my plate.  Kind of exciting!

How about you … Do you have any races you are registered for or have your sights on?

Friday Randomness - Beauty Edition

Hello!  It's Friday!  And it's a "holiday," so that makes it even more awesome.  Here's so randomness for you to kick off the holiday weekend!

- I am so sad to report that I haven't run at all this week.  But for a good reason!  Hubs was out of town on a business all week, so I wasn't able to get up and go.  Bummed, but I'm itching to get back to it next week for sure.

- That said, I did do some exercise this week at home.  I did a little T25, which was hard since I haven't done it in ages, and I did a bunch of full body strength workouts that I found on Pinterest.  So all wasn't lost.  But I still feel like I've taken a step back with the running.  Bummer.

- I took yesterday off of work so that I could have a 4-day weekend, so Jillian and I took an epic trip to Costco where I was cost comparing some Olay products.  I love Olay products (I actually still call it Oil of Olay because I'm old school), especially their Regenerist Regenerating Serum and Regenerist Micro Sculpting Face Cream.  I was out of both and had bough the serum at Walgreens the other day - 1.7 fl oz for $23.99.  At Costco it was 3.4 fl oz (double!) for $28.99.  Ummm, yeah, so I bought it and will be returning the other bottle to Walgreens today.

The Face Cream was $25.99 for 1.7 fl oz at Walgreens, and $38.99 for two at Costco.  Bought that too.  It's safe to say I'm pretty stocked on face products for a while.

- Speaking of face stuff, don't you hate when you are almost out of foundation and you know you could probably get a heck of a lot more of it if you had a tiny little spoon or spatula where you could scrape the insides of the bottle and use that?  Or am I alone?  Or just cheap?  In any case, I broke open my foundation bottle the other day when the nozzle thingie wouldn't squirt out any more and I've been using a Q-Tip to get makeup out.  Hey, it works.

- Yesterday I was driving near a lake by my house and out of the corner of my eye I saw a GIANT flying thing flying towards the road.  It was huge.  And as it was flying towards my car. I literally said "holy bleepity bleep!!!" (but quietly because Jillian was sleeping)  I literally thought it was like a dragon or a crazy swamp creature or something.  When it landed I realized it was a PEACOCK.  Have you ever seen a peacock fly?  It's terrifying.  That giant tail, the thing had to have been like 6 feet long.  When I realized it was just a peacock, I was like "ooh, how pretty!"  But seriously, it scared the living bleep out of me.

- And last, here is a cutie picture I snapped of Jillian in her 4th of July outfit.  OMG, she looks like she's 4!!  What is happening to time?  Have a Happy 4th!!

How about you ... Do you make the most out of your beauty products?  What are your plans for the 4th?
